Bimetal thermometers are designed to monitor the temperature of the oil in the boiler in hermetic or expansion tank transformers. The thermometer is equipped with a two-contact switch (with or without) and a sweep pointer. The Bimetal Thermometer should be used with the thermometer pocket welded to the top cover of the distribution transformer. The Bimetal Thermometer has three different connection threads. ½” Thread Connection – ¾” Thread Connection – 1″ Thread Connection.

Structure of Bimetal:  All parts are made of surface treated or corrosion resistant materials. The clear transparent plastic window (UV protected polycarbonate) is made of weatherproof material. The temperature measuring material is a bimetallic helix. The setting of the contacts appears on the scale. The body is made of electrostatic powder coated die-cast aluminum alloy.

Protection Class: IP55, (provided if installed under suitable conditions).

Measuring range: 10-120 °C

Measurement and switch accuracy: 50°C to 120°C ±5 °C
